Empowering Women in Public Leadership
Curated brunches, supper clubs and leadership conversations designed for women shaping public services.

Founder
CivicaNet was born out of years of watching senior women lead with strength on the outside while carrying so much on the inside. In my own leadership roles, I saw how often women were expected to be the person who holds everything together while having almost no space to talk about the strain that comes with it. There's been no room to drop the guard, no community for women to go back to. Where we’re heading is simple: a community that grows with every woman who joins it, a space that supports leadership in a more human way, and a network that helps women feel less alone in roles that often demand so much of them.

I can’t begin to explain how much today meant to me, I am still smiling now. It was also just what I needed today! Such an honour and privilege to share the virtual stage with Genine and Heather expertly facilitated by Laura, there was a real connection today and I genuinely believe we have a new “squad” we can all call on and learn from. Thank you CivicaNet!

Thanks to CivicaNet for the invite to be part of their first webinar. Brilliantly hosted by Laura Eshelby, I enjoyed the diversity of thought and experience the panel brought to the questions. I always talk about the power of collaboration; thanks to CivicaNet, I've found some new collaborators in Laura, Genine and Tricia.

I really valued the opportunity to step back from the day-to-day pace of delivery and reflect on leadership in a more thoughtful way. The discussion about understanding the cost of the systems we design — and who ultimately bears that cost — was particularly thought-provoking.The informal networking created a really open and authentic atmosphere, making it easy to share experiences and learn from others. I left feeling encouraged to think more intentionally about leadership, growth and the importance of advocating for the value we bring.

Breaking the Blueprint was open, honest and thought-provoking. The cohort was just right, the setting was amazing and the day was perfect. I’m looking forward to more events like this.

It was excellent — a range of speakers sharing their true authenticity about what it’s like to be a female leader in business. There was warmth, laughter and real perspective throughout the day. I would highly recommend others attend.

Being among so many inspiring women from across the public and private sectors truly lit a spark in me. It was a privilege to share such a supportive space — learning from one another and exchanging experiences, insights and practical tips as women in leadership.
