ROOTED IN PURPOSE
BACKED BY EXPERIENCE
SHAPED BY YOU
Sharon Azam, Founder
"CivicaNet was born out of years of watching senior women lead with strength on the outside while carrying so much on the inside. In my own leadership roles, I saw how often women were expected to be the person who holds everything together while having almost no space to talk about the strain that comes with it. There's been no room to drop the guard, no community for women to go back to. Where we’re heading is simple: a community that grows with every woman who joins it, a space that supports leadership in a more human way, and a network that helps women feel less alone in roles that often demand so much of them."

Voices from our Community
It’s never easy walking into a room of strangers, but today I was glad I did. It was a pleasure to attend the International Women’s Day event and meet inspiring women from different sectors, backgrounds and parts of the country. We discussed the key ingredients of effective leadership, what our barriers might be, and the important role women can play in tech, plus much, much more. It was a joy to be a part of.

I really valued the opportunity to step back from the day-to-day pace of delivery and reflect on leadership in a more thoughtful way. The informal networking created a really open and authentic atmosphere, making it easy to share experiences and learn from others. I left feeling encouraged to think more intentionally about leadership, growth and the importance of advocating for the value we bring.

I knew today was going to be special and it did not disappoint! What an incredible day at the House of Lords being a part of the International Women’s Day event dedicated to reimagining women’s leadership. So many powerful takeaways and new wonderful connections made. My cup is truly full this evening. I have much to reflect on and key takeaways to bring to life in my leadership journey.
